Loudoun County - a Great Place to Live!

Yvonne has lived and worked in Loudoun for quite a while now.  During that time she's seen it change and grow, but one thing that hasn’t changed is it remains a great place to live.  For instance:

  • The Outdoors!  The Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) bike trail is legendary, stretching 45 miles from Purcellville in the West through Leesburg and Ashburn all the way to D.C.  Or take a trip to Civil War sites such as the Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park.

  • Wine!  Whether outdoors watching a gorgeous sunset at a vineyard or sipping in one of Loudoun's many wine bars.  Some, like The Wine Kichen, specializing not only in local wines but those from around the world.  And don’t forget the many local breweries and craft beer venues that have sprung up over the past few years.

  • Dining!  Fantastic restaurants ranging from fine dining at Lightfoot or Tuscarora Mill to the charm of local eateries like Carolina Brothers BBQ and Lowry’s Crab Shack.

  • Horses!  Loudoun is known as horse country, whether you like to ride yourself or simply watch annual steeple chases.  Also, the W&OD isn’t just for bikes – it has an adjacent path for horseback riding, which runs 33 miles from Purcellville to Vienna.

  • Art!  Not only are we an easy drive to the fabulous national museums in D.C. (and the Air & Space Annex at Dulles), but we have great local options too.  The Loudoun Symphony Orchestra, the Franklin Park Performing Arts Center, the National Sporting Library and Museum...and more.

  • Shopping!  From the antique stores scattered throughout the area, to the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets, to the Dulles Town Centre mall – you can window shop or get what you need.  Add in high end grocery stores like Wegmans and Harris Teeter, and wine shops like the Leesburg Vintner and you’ll find there are few things you can’t find locally.
